In 2013 Peter Edwards presented the early stages of a DIY circuit building interface called the Open Modular Syntehsizer (OMSynth).
In this lecture/workshop he will share how the OMSynth has evolved from an idea to a product and how it challenges many of the established norms of DIY electronics practice. Along the way he will also discuss a call for a new standard of DIY circuit design in the post SMT (surface mount electronics) age.
Workshop participants will build an experimental sound circuit from scratch using the OMSynth.
